Military and their Families can receive Free Counseling
By Carol M. Pedro
Westfield, NJ –Youth & Family Counseling is offering free individual, couples, family and group counseling for anyone who has served or is currently serving in the Military. We offer our BRAVEST FIRST program providing FREE professional mental health services.
The facts about Mental Illness and substance abuse with regards to our veterans is astounding. Our Veterans are identified as a group at a higher rate of suicide than the national rate.
In the active military, the army reports sending over 24,000 soldiers for substance abuse counseling in 2011 and more than 1.3 million veterans have received specialized mental health treatment.
All reports indicate there are services but not enough. We know waiting lists and financial issues are barriers to treatment.
We are proud to help those who have done so much for us. If you or anyone you know could benefit from our services and has served our country, please give us a call. This is funded by donations and we will never charge the client.
Youth & Family Counseling has been serving the community for 100 years. We have been available to help many struggling regardless of the ability to pay. Our mission is to continue to help.
Please call about Free Counseling services for ALL MILITARY AND THEIR FAMILIES.
